It brings well being so for those who allegedly have no time to hug their cats all over the year, they have to do that on 13 May or on any of the other days when this holiday is celebrated. If cat owners want to show more respect to their cats they can do a lot more on this day, like organizing cat party, for example. Believe it or not, it is celebrated worldwide.

May is the International Respect for Chickens Month, but 4 May is the Day when people should show some respect to the chickens and all other domestic fowls. Probably you guess, vegetarians founded this holiday to raise awareness about the way these animals are used in food industry, science, entertainment, education etc.
7. Lost Sock Memorial Day

On 8 May every year people who have tragically lost a sock can remember to the event and give an honor to their favorite cloth. This holiday is celebrated in many countries and it recognizes that every one of us has its favorite pair of socks, but, unfortunately, one of them disappears some day, leaving an emotional emptiness in our souls.
