Bugatti has unveiled now the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, an even faster version of this supercar that has already set a new land speed record of over 268 mph (430 km/h) !!! The Super Sport now has a breathtaking power output of 1,200 HP and 1,500 Nm of torque, 200 HP and 250 Nm more than the standard Veyron.
This incredible power boost was achieved by installing larger turbochargers and larger intercoolers on the massive 8.0L engine. After the power output was increased they had to strengthen the car’s body too and they upgraded its stabilizers, installed racing grade shock absorbers and so on.
Over the weekend the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport went on track and managed to set a record average top speed of 431,072 km/h in front of a Guiness Book of Records representative who witnessed this new world record. The first time it reached a top speed of 428 km/h and in the second run the car reached over 434 km/h.
Unfortunately, you will be surprised that the production version of this rocket will have an electronically limited top speed of “just” 415 km/h. That’s enough, right?
